Strike a Balance Between Your Height and Weight


 Balancing your height and weight can help reduce your risk of developing diseases related to obesity.  Thousands of people including children all over the world are now victims of obesity.  The common reason for this condition is the diet that they take.  People have become so busy that most of them do not even have time to cook and prepare their own healthy food.  They depend on the food in restaurants and food joints which are tasty but not healthy.  Junk food especially is very harmful in the long run.

To know whether you are healthy or not it is good to check your BMI which is related to height and weight. It is a simple calculation of dividing your weight in pounds by your height in inches.  The result has to be divided again by the height in inches and this result multiplied by 703.  When a BMI is less than 25, it indicates that the person is healthy.  BMI that falls between 25 to 30 implies overweight and anything more than 30 is obese.

BMI is not the only screening tool to test weight related risks.  The other factors that have to be taken into consideration in relation to height and weight are waist size, cholesterol count, blood pressure etc.

Burning 250 to 500 calories through physical exercise and reducing another 250 to 500 calories through diet control can help you lose at least 1 to 2 lbs each week.  This helps you achieve a balanced height and weight. 

BMI reading below 25 decreases the risk of heart diseases, cancer, diabetes, gallbladder and liver diseases etc.

Finally, having a good BMI can not only boost your health but also improve your self esteem.

The Right height weight ratio



Almost everybody grew up listening to fairy tales and we all know that the good people in the stories are oh so charming and beautiful while the bad guys are ugly and scary looking. People associate beauty with goodness which is also classed the beauty is good bias, but the ground truth is that everybody wants to look beautiful, with an ideal weight and height. All those with extra kilos packed to their bodies want to knock it out of their weight and if they are short they want some more inches added on to their height. 

Both height and weight are related and you can check out your body mass index to see how ideal your height weight ratio is. A lot of phones today have an application to check your BMI, you have to just enter your height and weight and you will know if you are underweight, overweight or the right size! And if the results do not favor you, the right diet with a few exercises can set it right. One need not set lofty goals, if you are overweight start by slowly changing your diet and with just fifteen minutes of exercise. As time passes you can increase it and soon you will surely achieve the desired height and weight ratio!

Proper weight for maintaining sound health



Weight plays an important role in the health of any person. An obese person can never be called a healthy person just as a skinny person cannot be called a healthy person either. There is no fixed point of weight that any person should reach to. The right weight for a person is determined by his height and this number is always in a range. Persons diligent to lose weight for good health must reach this range.

The person’s life style is important to determine his weight loss for maintaining good health. If his work is always of a sedentary nature, with no movement at all, he ends up obese with a round belly. Stress and tensions provoke people to eat larger quantities of food in order gulp down the low spirits. This ends up with overweight. Lack of exercise and improper food are the ultimate causes of overweight.

In order to maintain an ideal weight for good health, it is advisable to eat everything in small quantities. There are pre measured ladles and spoons available that can be used to serve our food. There are plates with areas designated in it for food so that a limited quantity of food is served.
