Ways to determine the ideal height and weight of a person

Determining the ideal height and weight of a person is important to determine the fitness level of the person. In case a person is more than the necessary weight for his height then he is said to be either overweight or obese depending on the actual value. And in case the person’s weight is less than the required value then the person is termed as underweight. Both the underweight and overweight conditions are dangerous which is why it is important to check your height VS weight ratio.

So what are the different ways available to determine the ideal height and weight? There are two proven ways to determine the ideal height VS weight:

The first method is the BMI or the Body Mass Index where the ideal weight for the person’s height is checked using a proven formula which is the ratio of weight in kilograms to the square of height in meters.

The next method is the standard height and weight charts where the ideal weight for a particular height has been determined through intense research using people of various situations and location to get the best ideal weight for height.
