Burn calories to lose weight

It has become an easy task to shed calories to lose weight either naturally or by using medicines while the latter is least preferred. Keeping the diet regime aside, how can exercises burn our calories to lose weight?

There are two types of exercises: aerobic and anaerobic. In aerobic exercises, high intake of oxygen is required and the work outs are done for long time (at least for 20minutes). Aerobic exercises include roller skating, swimming, skipping, push-up and pull-ups etc. These exercises are also called as ‘cardio’ exercises as they help in strengthening the heart muscles.

The second type of exercises are anaerobic where the need for oxygen is negligible or nil. Anaerobic exercises include weightlifting and sprinting that long for short durations. The biochemical process that take place inside the human body is, due to lack of oxygen the energy currency, ATP is used up along with the stored glycogen in the muscles.

Although aerobic exercise helps in shedding calories instantaneously, anaerobic exercise gives a long term solution in burning calories to lose weight. The results are just incredible if both the exercises are included in a day’s routine along with complete balanced diet.
